The staff at the Minerva are top notch! Everyone was very helpful and welcoming. They arranged transport for our travel to SaPa, and arranged for an early takeaway breakfast.
Would definitely stay again when traveling to Old Town Hanoi.

All the staffs were very friendly, kind, and trustworthy. I had a difficulty finding my Grab driver, and the staffs came outside to look for them. The location is great because you can walk most of the places from the hotel. You can get discount for massage and spa. Massage was therapeutic. They treated me still as their guest even after we checked out. They let me leave my luggage while I was sightseeing after I checked out. I really enjoyed the stay here. Thank you very much!

Nice little boutique hotel conveniently located in Old Quarter.
Breakfast is nice with reasonable selection. Overall service is excellent, rooms are comfortable but do need some small upgrades with plumbing etc.

THE ABSOLUTE PERFECT PLACE TO STAY AT, FROM ALL POINTS OF VIEW

The hotel is ideally located: just one street behind the lake, right next to St Joseph Church, but in a quiet street (no noise at night – which seems unthinkable for a city as Hanoi, as bustling during the day). At the foot of the hotel, there are lovely cafes and restaurants, small shops. The area is perfect for staying right in the center of everything, but in peace and quiet. Everything can be done on foot from here.
The hotel itself is very beautiful, well-maintained, and the staff at the reception (especially LISA who was so helpful, very professional, full of great and so sweet, and the doorman KEVIN who was absolutely charming) are very kind, helpful, and attentive. We arrived at the hotel at 10:30 am and although check-in is at 2:00 pm, the staff made sure we could access our room at 11:30 am already.
We booked the St Joseph double room (on the 4th floor), and although the view of St Joseph Church is very limited, the tall green trees on the street rise right up to the large windows of the room, and it’s really very beautiful. In Hanoi, due to the very typical architecture of the narrow buildings, many hotels offer rooms without windows or overlooking an inner courtyard, but the Minerva Church Hotel offers large, beautiful windows! At night, there is no noise coming from the little street or even from the other rooms. The room and the bathroom with a bathtub are more than spacious and well-designed. The bedding is very comfortable. Tea, coffee, and bottled water are available for free, as well as a plate of fruit upon arrival.
Very good buffet breakfast with a choice of everything ! We can only recommend this hotel from all points of view !

Amazing hotel in a great location

The hotel is in a fantastic location only metres down the street from the Cathedral and central to many other key places like the Hanoi Market and Hoan Kiem Lake. The best part about the hotel is the staff - they are all so incredibly kind and welcoming and will assist you with anything you need. Special shout-out to Sunny at the reception desk and Kevin the doorman. The rooms are adequately sized for what you need in a hotel room, featuring smart tvs and a shower/bath. Buffet breakfast was great and the menu changed each day. Look forward to coming back in the future!
