Our stay at the Econo Lodge in Cordele
Due to car troubles we had to stay here for 6 nights. The owners were very understanding of our dilemma and made the stay as pleasant as possible. The room was very clean and comfortable and there was a variety of restaurants within walking distance. There was also a Dollar Tree, Walmart and Ollies we were able to walk to.

Disgusting Dive that Should Be Closed
This is the biggest dump I have ever stayed in in my entire life. I have been travelling regularly for 25 years and have stayed in all kinds of places, and this place is easily the worst.
* The sheets on the bed were threadbare and stained with something that looked like blood (and probably was)
* The room had not been cleaned - there was dirt in the bathroom that was visible, the towels smelled musty, there were dead spiders in the corners
* There was a German cockroach infestation in the hotel and our room
* The room smelled of cigarette smoke, despite being advertised as non-smoking
* The outlets did not work
* The advertised pool was empty with merely a puddle of dirty water at the bottom
* The staff that checked us in had been asleep at the desk and did not care about anything
* The manager, Vipul Patel, is the meanest, stingiest, horrible person I have ever dealt with. When I brought up the issues in the room, he said "You should have come back and complained that night" and did not seem surprised or to care at all about the issues. He offered 10% ($9) refund. $9. Are you kidding me? What a skinflint.
Trying to get this issue resolved with either Choice Hotels of Booking.com was a nightmare. Several representatives promised me a refund which I never saw. I was called a liar, and was blamed for the room being trash because I hadn't switched on the spot.
I had sleeping kids and did not notice many of the issues until morning and it was 10:30pm. The desk staff didn't care anyway.
I bet that all the good reviews here have been bought or were written by the family since they own this hotel. It is seriously THE WORST hotel in the world and should be condemned. I have reported it to the Georgia Department of Health and caution you to stay away from this dive. Nothing could be worse.

Dirty!!!
Check in was smooth and front desk clerk was very nice. Room was dirty. I do not think the sheets had been changed, there was hair in the bed and in the shower. Took a quick shower wearing my flip flops. Checked in late to get up early the next day, so it was just a place to lay down for the night.

Late night stop on way to NC
Do not go here. Worse hotel I have ever been in. There was 1 dead roach on floor, then a live roach crawling up the wall we killed. The room was gross, we were then too grossed out to even try the breakfast, take a shower, or even lay on sheets. Room was by stairs, people were very loudly up and down all night.

Clean hotel
If you are looking for for a clean hotel, this is it! Not one speck of hair. Front desk clerks were pleasant upon check in and check out. You will need to overlook the walls that need to be updated along with the furniture I didn't want to sit in. I could deal with sitting on bed for only $51 and using some Choice points. Lobby was clean and very soft bath towel. Great lighting in bathroom and hot water came on right away. Happy to have a refrigerator, microwave, and ice machine that works. Breakfast ended at 9 and didn't make it because of a late arrival.
