Maine leaf peeping

Quiet setting. Cozy rooms. Owners are very nice and accommodating.
Breakfast, porch, woodsy area, dog friendly, other visitors friendly.
Great place for our stopover on our way home. Met new trip friends. Lovely drive to see leaves changing color.

Excellent place to stop

We had a lovely 2 night stay. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a variety of cereals, toasts , yogurts, fruit snd delicious coffee.
The Inn is midway between Skohegan and Jackman (about 35 miles each way). We have an electric vehicle so this was perfect. We could explore the area and charge when we returned from the day’s adventure.
We will stop here again when our travels bring us this way.

very comfortable

Great hosts! Will help with anything you need and there is a good selection of food in their store, which is good because there isn't a lot of choices as far as groceries. They will help you cook in the very fancy toaster oven. Hot and cold filtered water is always available and there was always coffee available while I was there. Beds are comfy and there are 2 very awesome bathrooms with clawfoot tubs! Other bathrooms just have showers.

Uncomfortable

I was so disappointed. We read all the good reviews about this B&B, but the truth be told the bathrooms were so filthy we couldn’t bring ourselves to shower there. And the beds were short and springs poked you all night. The man across the hall sounded like he threw up all night and early morning too. Won’t stay there again.

Unique atmosphere and great accommodations st ghe Sterling Inn.

I had a great stay at the Sterling Inn in Caratunk ME. The staff, Eric and Zach are extremely helpful and worked seamlessly to make sure that I was taken care of. I was hiking on the Appalachian Trail and many hikers mentioned how great it was. It met all my expectations. The rooms are spacious enough, the beds are comfortable, and it’s very clean. I totally enjoyed my Epsom salt baths in their antique bear claw tub. I love the lounge room with its open windows. It comes with lots if history since the 1800s which just adds to its charm. They offer comprehensive resupply options and there are tons of activities and adventures to be had in the area, which their guests enjoy. Don’t miss this place if you’re in the area.
