Great Service and Location

Great location. Close to theaters, dining and the main attractions. Fantastic breakfast buffett. Very good service. Bellmen Dean, Aleks, Douglas and Philip were particularly helpful and attentive. We would stay there again and recommend to friends.

Not recommended for long stays +2 days

The rooms in this hotel are very small and feel quite claustrophobic, making them unsuitable for longer stays. The “queen bed” they advertise is actually only 135 cm wide, so it may be narrower than expected. There is only a tiny closet area in the room. It might work for a short trip, but at this price point, you can find much better options in London.

Dear Mehhmetcam,
I am sorry that your recent stay failed to meet your expectations. We do offer different sized rooms depending on the room category booked and our Reception team are always available to check if we have availability to move guests to larger rooms. Please do not hesitate to contact them as we want all our guests to be comfortable.
I do hope you will still choose to stay with us again when next in London.
Kind regards,

Be sure to examine the many eclectic photos throughout the hotel and in your room

The hotel has an eclectic collection of photographs from 100 years ago, of famous personalities and models. One of the best is in the gents toilet on your right leaving the restaurant. I enjoyed a 2 hour breakfast 7 - 9 am just to people watch. And enjoy the excellent buffet. Ordered the congee as its a dish I regularly cook, so have perfected a good recipe. The hotels congee was OK, but after adding some smoked salmon, onion and Soy sauce it was much improved. Later went to the Churchill War Rooms ....excellent museum.

A Great Stay

I just returned from a lovely stay at the Waldorf! As a Gold Honors member, I had been looking at the variety of Hiltons to stay at in the area - and I definitely made the right choice. Perfect location within a short walking distance to theatres, restaurants, shops and more. A mostly friendly staff - especially at the door (I'm looking at you, Dean!) and at the concierge desk. Recommendations for plays/musicals, as well as checking into tickets. My room was upgraded as well, which was great. Couple things to note:
-The hotel can arrange pick-up from Heathrow with the lowest rate at 125 pounds (goes up from there). The Heathrow Express (train) is around 25 pounds, but it arrives/leaves at Paddington station and that taxi ride to/from the hotel is around 30 pounds. Super fast, though. About 15 minutes from Paddington to the airport.
-I was early for check-in, so I had to wait a bit to get into the room. I admit this is a small thing...and it was early...but I wasn't offered champagne or anything like the other guests. I noticed this later when I happened to be at the front desk and...of course...inquired about it. The staff did offer me a glass, then, but I passed. In the scheme of things, not a big deal...but I just wanted to be treated like the other guests. It's a fun treat to start off the trip.
-The room was very nice - and quiet! Given the surrounding area is quite busy, the room really blocked it all out. The drain in the shower/tub did back up quite a bit which I mentioned to the staff. Slippers would have also been a nice touch in the room. But, overall, a great, clean room.
-If you have to eat gluten-free, definitely visit Indigo restaurant in the nearby One Aldwych Hotel...and try Brown's Brasserie for lunch/dinner and the fully gluten-free high tea. Fantastic. Both place are within walking distance.
All in all, I would recommend this wonderful hotel. Especially for a short trip, you're right in the center of everything.

Amazing hotel with superb staff

The hotel is located in the perfect location for theatres and the west end. From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were made to feel welcome. We were checked in by a super friendly guy who was very informative and hospitable. We were treated to a lovely glass of Prosecco. Our room was ultra clean and so comfortable, we had a great nights sleep. The bathroom was excellent with a superb shower and bath. The tea and coffee making facilities were good. We watched Tina at the Aldwych theatre next door. After a fantastic performance at the theatre went to the hotel’s cocktail bar Good Godfreys. The cocktails were amazing and the staff were so nice and friendly. The service was exceptional, the waiter was so lovely insisting we drank water to keep hydrated and avoid any hangovers!
Check out was simple and we left the hotel completely satisfied with our stay. I’ve stayed in loads of hotels in London over the years and I can say without doubt that the staff here are the best I’ve experienced. We will definitely stay here on our next visit to London. Thank you so much guys for a memorable stay.
