Stay away!

Where do I start? Friday night loud disco until 1am just below my room, windows old and broken, TV didn’t work tried several different ways to fix, no telephone in room to ring reception….no reception in fact just a bar. Shower room dirty and unkept, beds uncomfortable. I was told to come down in the morning to help myself to breakfast, I went down at 7.30am as I had to leave for work purposes no food or nobody there. All the empty glasses from the night before all left on the bar. No tissue in main toilets. I left with minimal sleep and no breakfast which I had paid for. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anybody, stay clear!

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

AVOID at all costs !!!
Honestly the worst hotel stay I have ever had in my life…
Rotten and smelly room, clearly lacked any basic standard of cleanliness
Even the bar downstairs appears to be the local dive ?
Only positive would be at least the bed was very comfy.

Noisy and uncomfortable

This has to be one of the worst hotels I have stayed in, the window was wedged open with a 2ft piece of wood, which I removed and the window slammed shut and I was unable to open it again which was probably just as well as we retired to bed around 10pm when the music started and what sounded like a party going on below our bedroom window, the noise was horrendous and sleep was impossible, it was 12.50 when I finally managed to drop off although the noise and music continued. The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable and the bathroom was tiny with a wet room shower that was like something out of the ark. In the morning the condensation on the old dilapidated windows were soaking, not sure what they did at the refit in 2017 but certainly did not replace the windows

Horrendous

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Music blasting until 1am, doors slamming. The rooms overlook the beer garden so all you can hear is drunk people shouting. Went outside in the morning to leave with sick all over the door. Rooms aren’t clean, dust everywhere. Bathroom is mouldy and smells. Fridge in room smells revolting like something died in it. Curtains are paper thin with bright lights outside so impossible to sleep. Management and staff aren’t interested

Avoid this hotel at all costs.

I would strongly suggest avoiding this hotel at all costs unless you are desperate.
On arrival, we were only warned of the late night disco by a staff member on signing in. The disco was on Saturday and started at 9pm and finished at 1am. The lights in the courtyard are very bright and bedroom 4's window was lit up like it was daylight. The noise was unbearable.
We asked for a cup of tea in the bar as there was only 1 mug in the room when we arrived. The bar man did not have any teabags it would appear, until a man said he had a catering pack of Tetleys in the back of his van. We also had to ask for another toilet roll for the room as the only one provided was around 3/4 empty.
The sash window in bedroom 4 was broken, held up by a block of wood, if you wanted to open it for ventilation. I think that this is a health and safety hazard personally.
The room for breakfast could only be found after the cleaning lady downstairs had to ring someone on her mobile for advice as she did not know where it was.
There is no food available on site apart from a miserable 'continental breakfast' which is basically mothers pride white bread in a packet, a toaster, and mini cereals. A fridge holds only cows milk, some butter in a tub and individual marmalades/jams.
To make a drink for breakfast head back to your room with the kettle and fill it up from your own basin tap, before returning again to the breakfast room. Also remember to bring your mugs from your room with you. The crockery was dirty as was some of the cutlery.
Beds in room 4 had clean sheets but the sheets were straight onto the mattress with no mattress protectors. The beds were uncomfortable to say the least.
The bathroom is a wet room with a glass shower door giving straight onto the bedroom- allowing the other occupant of the room to see someone sitting on the toilet. The shower floor area was stained and there was dirt in the corners by the toilet. The toilet area gets soaked as soon as you use the shower.
