Lovely oasis
We visited in 2020 and wanted to return to this hotel. we had a week in krabi first this time and transferred here for our second week .
The hotel staff from reception and restaurant bar staff to the cleaners and gardners are all lovely friendly and helpful they are an absolute credit to the hotel and we thank you all .
The rooms are large with comfortable beds and kept spotless. You have a hair dryer / safe and mini fridge . You get 2 bottles of water daily . The towels and bedding crisp white and comfortable. Pool towels are provided daily they do have room to put in a set of drawers which is needed . You can get novelty room service by boat which we did last time . Pool access from all rooms but if your mobility's bad you will struggle getting in/out as no steps or handrail you just step in and out onto a stool in the water . The main pool does however have steps into it . There are a few rooms onto the main pool only a few steps away so you maybe better asking for one of these if you struggle .( then you have sun all day also )
I had emailed ahead asking for a sunny balcony and although they didn't reply they did accommodate and gave us the same room as last time. They also dressed the bed with a birthday message for my husband but did forget the promised cake ( I didn't chase this up though ) .
There is plenty of choice at breakfast and an egg/bacon stand however they need to re think where this is stationed as it causes issues when busy and people get in the wrong queue . The same with the toaster or get 2 . They just need to reposition them to make it slicker .
Hotel location is a short walk to the beach passing many great places to eat and drink and shops both ways out of the hotel . You do get used to the very busy road but with small children I get it's not ideal . The beach itself is lovely and long and sunbeds very cheap and easy to get . The sea is lovely and warm but if you're not a strong swimmer be careful it can be deceiving .
Kata is only a ride away for a change but it's very busy . Old Phuket town is just lovely all the old colonial buildings with lovely shops bars restaurants and boutique hotels worth a stay over ( but it's not far ) .
All the island trips are absolutely rammed a shame as they're stunning .The elephant sanctuary is just beautiful.
Thailand is a beautiful country with the most friendly people and we felt very safe as we did on our previous visit . I do think it's been spoiler with the cannabis shops and fear this will change the vibe of the place . I don't think we will return to Phuket or krabi we will try a quiter place next time it's way too busy .
Although I think they're doing a lot to help the elephants sadly the other animals not so much and this is fuelled by the ignorance of people going to shows with drugged tigers and having pictures taken with baby animals and this along with all the rubbish everywhere has put me off returning .
The hotel is a beautiful little oasis out of the way of all the madness . The prices at the hotel are more than what you pay out of it but not unreasonable and that's the same in most hotels WW.
My only bug bear is the pool it really needs to have a shut down and all the pools drained whilst they repair the faulty tiles but most importantly it needs a really good deep clean and the sides repainted ( the same marks and cracks are visible on our pictures from 5 years ago ) . Plus get rid of the leaking boat doesn't give a good impression..
If you have booked I think you will have a great time . It's still a beautiful place to go with amazing things to see . We met a few people unhappy with the hotel but it's not advertised as a 5 star AI which you can find in Phuket and kata .
If you download the bolt app ( similar to uber ) it's fast efficient and they find you in the busiest of places . But you pay in cash cheaper than the tuc tuc and hotel taxi .

Just perfect.
This is the 2nd time staying at this hotel and we have booked again for next year. Beautiful swim up rooms and the lady who was always on the desk at reception was just amazing. Stunning hotel close to everything without being right in the middle of it. Can’t recommend it enough. Always well maintained. Beds are very hard but if you ask at reception they will put a topper on for you. Had an issue with being bitten in the room by mosquitoes and the lovely lady in reception arranged for something to be plugged in the room for us which really helped. Honestly it is such a lovely place to stay. Breakfast has a big choice of foods and there is a cart the does fresh omelettes and bacon. Very close to big Buddha which is worth the trip. Can’t praise the hotel enough. See you next year

Not great needs updating
OK so... staff really friendly.
Room - basic. Maybe we had been spoilt as this was our 4th stop in Thailand but we found the room dated. The key is still an old fashioned key on a giant chain.
When cleaning they leave the doors open so you end up with a tribe of mosquitoes.
Swim up rooms...not what you think. Very little sun and not much to look at. If you end up in the main area you are in a fish bowl.
Room cleaning - excellent and our house keeping was attentive. Breakfast - average. You will be OK if you like eggs.
Air-conditioning- really poor.
Room service - we went for boat drop off and that was a nice touch. It's expensive though.
Location - it's a mile to the beach and main area with very bad paving. Didn't feel entirely safe walking but this isn't the hotels fault.

Wonderful experience
Some areas of the hotel look a bit tired but maintenance team are busy trying to keep everything good which is difficult when the place is so popular and busy, that's the only thing that might give some people something to moan about but the rooms are spacious comfortable and well cleaned every day , the grounds are well maintained and the pool is cleaned daily. The restaurant serves very good food at reasonable prices with excellent service. Found the staff throughout the hotel keen happy and willing to go the extra mile to make sure everyone enjoyed there stay. I would really like to return here in the future and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a pleasant relaxing place to stay .

Once again a pleasant holiday with Access Resort
Staff and service was once again perfect. We had a small issue with aircondition. They change us into the Pool Suite, wich was a nise thing to do. They are renovating Blue Wing this year, so it will be nice to see what old rooms and general areas looks like after renovations. Thank Access staff once again for good and relaxing holiday.
