Great

Now known as Grand Merlin. Stayed for one night. Very comfortable and clean. Could be better if kettle provided. Not far from central with parking area for guest.
Provide halal breakfast and it save our budget to Hatyai for shopping.

To be honest, it's not "That bad" just that the price will be = to the condition. For a short stay then it's worth it. If u ask me will I return to this hotel? My answer would be why not? It's quite convenience to travellers due to the location of the hotel. Walkable range and convenience store at 2 min walk distance. If the hotel management willing to conduct some renovation, then it would even better.

Raya vacation in Hat Yai

In a nut shell, no complaint but it is an old hotel.
The room was old but clean. Could do with a lot of refurbishing, example, all the wooden stuff like cupboard had worn out or broken off.
The bathtub was old but clean, shower curtain could do with some changing as dirty and moldy at the bottom, shower water pressure was good but the shower head needs changing. Towels were clean and fresh daily.
One main complain I have was the mattress!!! HORRIBLE!!! I could feel the springs poking my back so each night was uncomfortable.
Must pay for extra pillow @ 20 Thai baht per night
Amenities in the room were basic with soap & shampoo only. No facial tissues or hair dryer.
Room aircon was fantastic
To make up for all the above, all the staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and polite. It made up for the lack of comfort.
Available wifi in room and coffee house.
Available car park in front of hotel only.
Walking distat to central shopping area, convenient
Lots of eatery places around even after midnight

My booking on 8th September 2018 was being revert to the other hotel without my concern. The other hotel that was being appointed to me was not close to the actual stndard for the room that ive been booked before. The night staft also was not friendly as they took forever to gave my refund as they asked me to return to their property tomorrow. As my plan was ruined for the whole night cause at 11pm I need to search for another room for my family to stay for that prticular night. The room that has been appointed to me was a terrible room as the floor was dirty and the room a bit creepy. I am not recommed this prticular hotel to the traveller. Poor service and lack skill of understanding the customer’s thought. They also cant really speaks English and I dont understand Thai language. Overall, poor service and i wont coming back to this hotel anymore.
