Lovely family run mountain location

Spent a few days here last week. Excellent location for exploring the region. Food is excellent and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It really is in a fabulous location and your only alarm call will be the sound of cow bells on the adjoining hill. I fully intend to stay here when next in the area. Family run and very friendly. Highly recommended.

Give this place a miss

Stayed here in January, wish we hadn’t, when we arrived we were shown to an annexe, no heating on in the premises, we were the only ones staying but according to booking .com we got the last rooms !
No Wi-Fi as advertised, if you wanted Wi-Fi you had to go into the main building and sit in a crappy dingy bar with a log burner that couldn’t produce enough heat due to the glass door needing a good clean
We had dinner the first night, poor and expensive compared to prices elsewhere.
Breakfast was cold hard toast, tea with teabag floating in it
Needless to say we checked out earl, so be warned, don’t listen to reviews

A lovely traditional mountain inn

A lovely traditional mountain inn . Simple comfortable rooms, freshly cooked dinners are excellent value for money. Toasted rustic bread and freshly made sweet pancakes for breakfast . An excellent base from which to explore the local area.

Sin mas...

Pasamos una noche y habiamos reservado por Booking. La habitacion sin grandes florituras (de hecho la iluminacion podia ser un poco mas potente). Pedimos hacer un late check-out el domingo porque ibamos a hacer una ruta de montaña y “casualidad” nuestra habitacion estaba reservada. Y el desayuno, no pido huevos benedictinos, pero un poco mas de mermelada o mantequilla hubiera sido de agradecer

Buena cocina de la Montaña

Siempre pido cocido montañés en mis vacaciones por Cantabria que al ser de madre montañesa son anuales. Tengo que decir que no recuerdo un cocido. Montañés mejor. Con sabor, perfectamente ligada la salsa y para nada pesado lo cual es complicado de conseguir. De 10¡!. De segundo pedimos ternera en salsa, jabalí y cordero. Todos productos de la zona. Muy rico todo, por poner un pero el cordero le sobraba un pelin de aceite en la presentación. Por eso se han quedado rozando el 10 :-) . Recomiendo el arroz con leche de postre.
