TO FLEE

I had booked 6 months ago for 4 nights which I had paid for. When I arrived, no reception, I called the owner who insulted me BECAUSE I did NOT speak English well!!! And hung up on me: all other calls rang BUSY. I am 69 years old, I am disabled, I slept on the beach, the next day I took the bus to SANTA CRUZ from TENERIFE where I found a room for the remaining nights. BOOKING is sorry for the situation... I AM STILL NOT reimbursed for the nights paid as well as the nights at ZANTA CRUZ. According to testimonies, the owner of PENSION PLAYA is accustomed to such fraudulent practices. TO FLEE

Basic room in Los Cristianos

My partner booked a three night stay here for us and it was not what we were expecting. The photos showed an apartment when it reality in was just a small room on the third floor accessed by three staircases, one which was very narrow. Not suitable at all if you have any kind of disability or a lot of luggage. There was a shared coffee room but no sink to wash up in and the fridge was unusable because it had not been unpacked! This meant we were unable to prepare any food there! The room however was basic and clean.

Fair, very fair to stay one night.

In our case perfect price/location ratio since we took an early ferry. Room with the basics. In the coffee room the machine works when it wants and does not return change. The communication was not good, we are still waiting for a response on how to get to the pension after 12 at night.

Poor management ability training staff.

Everything was OK until one afternoon I woke up to a banging on my door. I had the do not disturb sign up. I spilt my bottle of water out the window the night before. I went out side and collected it so I wouldn't be littering. The women who cleans the place and another man who worked in the restaurant were at my door. Fuming with me saying I'd stained the whole building and that it was a hazard. I apologised about 6 times before they left. Un profesional behaviour. The cleaning lady attempted to threaten at the end saying she would be back. Luckily for her she wasn't brave enough. Think they wanted money from me. They didn't get it. They have strong covid rules in place for no reason. If you like cockroachs it's the place to go. No air conditioning was a factor. I couldn't sleep at night and lost most of the days because of it. They do actually have a reception despite they advertised they do not. As you walk in its the first door on the left.. just the owner being lazy.

Worst ever experience,

I arrived at this dump on Monday 18/09/2023 at 21.00. I got an email while I was in transit from Edinburgh where I departed at 14.30 on same day. When I arrived I contacted host who informed me I had to give 24 hours notice before arriving and was therefore not allowed access until the next morning. I spoke to restaurant next door who had a key and let me in. This worried me immediately from a security perspective. I went up the narrowest staircase ever to a room which was absolutely tiny with no facilities whatever. By that I mean no wardrobe, drawers, washbasin WC or shower. These were a shared facility and were filthy, no cleaner and property has no reception. The woman in restaurant told me when I had to leave that this was the norm with this property and how the host made her money. I urged booking.com to remove this property from their list but they have not done so and are refusing to take my claim seriously. Do not use this property, it is dangerous as a fire tisk
