Location, location, location for Whale Sharks
We LOVED our stay at Aloha. Location, location, location for whale sharks, it's right next door to where all the action is. We saw the whale sharks early then sat by the beach, eating breakfast, watching the other tour groups go out. The room is basic but perfect, all you need for an overnight stay. Comfy beds, warm shower, a lovely balcony and a beautiful view. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We arrived early and they minded our bags. Left very late the next day and they minded our bags again and helped us organise transport back to Cebu. If you have the time, don't day-trip Oslob, stay overnight and enjoy breakfast by the beach.

Whale Sharks next door
Excellent location right next to the whale shark watching your. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were basic but good enough for a short stay. Very good value for the money and easy to take a bus back to cebu when you need to leave. The snorkeling equipment was great

Bad customer service
Me and my friend went to Oslob for whaleshark watching few days ago. 200 pesos entrance fee is a bit much for just a couple of hours stay. There's only one open cottage so we have no choice but to lay down under the tree to get some shade while waiting. They can keep your belongings at the front desk thinking its safe. After the activity, I left my shoes and my friend's make up kit and I called Jake who helped us organizing our tours thinking he's one of the staff. I asked him to send our things at the canyoneering office but when i called him the day after, he said that my shoes were gone. He said he put our stuff back at front desk but only my friend make up kit was recovered. I contacted the resort owner but she doesn't seem to care and was not willing to help. I worked in an island resort for couple of years, I know whow customers should be treated. I also know that its not her fault but its her responsibility to train her staff not to stole customer's belonging especially when they knew that customers want them back. If you plan to stay at this resort, good luck!

Location Location Location
We stayed here for 4nights and could not fault anything about this small budget accommodation. Firstly do not expect 5 star in the sense of luxury, what you will get though is 5 star service from staff, 5 star location and an exceptionally clean and tidy property with attentive staff. As described in previously reviews it is next door to the whale centre, and staff go with you at the time you choose to assist you buying tickets and waiting for your number to be called. The staff are also very helpful in booking other tours for you, such as Sumlin Island, Canyoneering, Ferry tickets to Bohol, massages nothing is to much trouble. They provide a substantial breakfast which is often served after you have swam with the whale sharks on the beachfront, and some drinks are available in a fridge in the reception area. They do not have a restaurant on the property they can provide meals that they order in, but there is plenty of options to eat outside. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it to others.

WORST STAFF, CUSTOMER SERVICE
Two things...
1. We were paying customers. We had rented the small, and only cabana in the resort. The staff, specifically the front desk lady, woke up my napping friend, and took over the cabana just to use the karaoke machine, which could be heard by other resorts in the beach as early as 9:30AM. All other staff joined in, basically taking over our spot for no apparent reason.
We were looking forward to a quiet morning.
2. A foreign tourist made several follow-ups to his in-house guide on his schedule for the Whale Shark activity. His guide, who was next to 4 other guides, ignored him each time he asked. They were too busy singing and choosing songs. They hardly even acknowledged he was making an inquiry. No eye contact. The tourist gave up and decided to walk away.
After this, we too decided to leave. Us paying customers seemed like the staff of the resort after this incident.
