Never experienced anything like this

Don't do it. Don't. Reception extremely unfriendly, dirty, bad beds and very noisy partly because the receptionist sleeps behind the counter and watches TV. This made it impossible to get to sleep.
We have booked 2 rooms. On arrival also with us 1 room was not equipped with bathroom, while that was booked (and same price). I indicated that the receptionist could jump high and low and that I really did not care what his computer indicated and that he would otherwise have to give the money back. Suddenly we had two rooms with bathroom next to each other.
That smells like a scam, presumably the plan was to rent out these rooms several times in one night.
We went 1 night but broke it off at half past four and went home head over heels. The advantage is that you can drive through the night, just before sunrise we were home.

Community centre

This is not a hotel but a student house with rooms in a residential area! and the beds are the most terrible, these rooms are nice for students who pay 3 euros per night, no, certainly not recommended, we paid 90 euros per night

Not a nice place to stay at while in Utrecht

NEVER AGAIN. I highly DONT reccomend going here. First we came to find out that we have booked a room with shared bathroom which on booking said that all rooms have toilets..Okay.. Then the guy that greeted us, probably the owner of the HOUSE so called ,,Hotel'', took us in the basement level below and said this is your room. Spider webs, awful beds, no air, tiny window, unventilated, and bed bugs are some of the many negative things about this place. On the so called terrace you need to be very quiet because apparently theres a bed next to you and someone is sleeping. We slept in a basement for 400€ for 3 days no toilet, no air and a shower at the reception desk, aside from that Utrecht is beautiful but dont book this place.

We were fortunate in that we had a bathroom in our room. A number of rooms had to share a common shower and bathroom. Bathroom in our room was 18 square feet. To use the toilet one had to be alert as I hit my head several times on the sink. Shower size is adequate, water will definitely got hot. Bathroom and shower walls are linoleum that needed more attention. Bedroom consisted of two single beds pushed together. One had a quite firm mattress as the other had a very soft mattress. Floors were dirty and never cleaned during the time we were there, and we were there too long. Located close to a grocery store and bus stop. Unless you are specifically interested in this area of the city, I cannot recommend this.

Too expensive for what you get

Very dissapointed when we arrived, the walls were so thin that you could hear the other rooms. Also the door for toilet was trailer so not only you were seen a bit from the other person but also hear and smell everything happening in the toilet! The staff was friendly but the i would never pay again for this trap..
