Amazing residence! We had the room with the main balcony. The view day and night, sun or rain is breathtaking.
We also visited their restaurant for a dinner and the food was high quality and tasty :) with a quality of a decent restaurant

Not knowing how to value what you have
Breakfast, 12 euros per person, for me who eat only a brioche and drink a cup of milk, too expensive, but there is everything, from sweet to savory.
Dinner, we ate only one night, very good meat, the first, 20 €, very scarce, 5 fine pasta tortelli that only opened our stomachs, in fact after we had to take a cut to be divided in two.
Cleanliness, real sore note of the holiday, all documented by photos. The bathroom was cleaned, but the radiators were not, dirty, months dust, the room was not, they made the bed, without passing broom and washing. The third day I took pictures in the same spot morning before going out, and on the way back, same things on the ground. Not to mention under the bed. Not to mention the air conditioning filters. All photographed. In the elevator anyway, pine needles like it's raining.
In the common areas they washed the floors at 8.30 in the morning, resulting in a floor full of treads, when it dried, it seemed it had not been cleaned in months. In the pool anyway, pine needles, dead animals, at one point a guest took a net and cleaned him. There is no service, since it is very downhill, so even uphill, they do not bring you anything, if you want to have an aperitif you have to go to the terrace. A small bar is urgent. Broken beds, cut, insufficient, on August Day, there were not for everyone.
The wifi only in the common areas, in some areas there was not even service to call.
The few staff, always kind and helpful, is not enough to cover requests. It is not possible to have a coffee at the bar, having to ring the bell and wait a few minutes.
So, I think it's only right, in such a beautiful facility, to have a person to control, to have more staff. Also because I see that my review is not the only one who writes about these things.
We spent, for 3 nights, almost 800 euros in two. Honestly, it seemed like too much.

There are also positive things to report
Also this year we were back at Villa Pitiana and lo and behold, there are also positives - the breakfast has gotten much better, this applies to the service as well as the food offered - so it can continue!
The Wi-Fi, which still works more on the ground floor, has become much more stable.
If the owner took the critical reviews a little to heart, a lot would be much better here, even if you can see a few efforts here and there, there is so much to do.
After many years in Villa Pitiana we had the great luck of a performance by four singers of the Florentine Opera in the courtyard of the Villa - an unforgettable evening. In stark contrast to this is the battered wing of the house, which urgently needs to be repaired - what are these guests who damage such an instrument?
We will also be back next year, partly because we have taken this House to heart, but also in the hope of a clearer effort to improve it. Thanks to the Villa team, they really try everything to make the stay enjoyable.

GREAT STAY
A stunning 14th-century building.
Unbelievable view. In the common spaces they have retained the charm and luxury of the mansion. Some rooms are definitely in need of repairs. Breakfast was very good except the coffee which was bad.
Staff polite and helpful. Ideal for those who want to experience the beauty of the past.

Very dated, Historic building in the broadest sense of the word.
Definitely not 4 stars as promised. Rather 2star plus or 3. But very friendly and willing staff. Rooms very dated ....... But clean and hygienic! Nice area and nice hotel bar. Were there 3 nights. Too bad there are minimal alternatives in the immediate vicinity to grab a terasje .....
