Beautiful lake view
Spacious room and beautiful lake view.
We also brought with us our small dog and the staff was very kind in making us find in the room a doghouse, two bowls and a gift for our little dog .. really cute as a gesture and he obviously enjoyed everything.
We also tried the spa for two hours and the hotel restaurant and these also met our needs.
Perhaps to review the breakfast because at the time we arrived in the room there were no croissants but the staff was still nice in giving us a timing and warning us.
Friendly and friendly staff.
Overall we were happy with everything

Cute, but I expected more
Overall, however, there was a bit of carelessness in the details: the ceiling of the Turkish bath was peeling, around the windows the wall had a different color, the sink was peeling, when they brought us breakfast in the room we did not know where to sit because there were no chairs. An incomprehensible detail for me was the kettle in the room: there were herbal teas and sugar and, of course, the kettle. Too bad, however, that the schuko plug of the kettle did not fit in the wall sockets, so I could not make a chamomile.
In the evening we also had the spa treatment, and I think it is very nice. Perhaps the number of “activities” boasted on the site are not true, because the pool and the various whirlpools are all together, and in the end the activities are three: whirlpool pool, Turkish bath and sauna (sensory showers are normal showers with light and strange jets of cold water). In my opinion it is not worth the 27€ on Saturday afternoon, but maybe for 15€ a week it can fit (especially if you do not have a Turkish bath in the room).
The curtains, unfortunately, did not close well in our room, and we woke up to the sun. For me it was not a big problem, but for someone with light sleep it can be annoying.

Stay Somewhere Else
Tea and coffee is a joke - kettle doesn’t even plug in anywhere except on the floor - paper cups and no milk. Kettle is a health and safety hazard as doesn’t turn off, just overheats! Hairdryer ancient - it won’t dry your hair. AC noisy. A shower you can’t turn around in. A broken toilet seat. A sink where the tap prefers to spray the water outside the sink… a heavy sliding door… I could go on…
If you are offered room 210 …run….
We could not change room as the hotel was ‘full’ the next evening - and reception were not willing to move us and to put a new booking in our so called ‘standard room’ - basically because this room should be closed off! The room is very noisy as it faces a multiple AC Unit from another building which is on 24hrs.
There isn’t really a bar that you can sit at; you can sit on hard, wooden seats on the terrace. Inside dining area very bland.
You pay extra to use the spa which looks nothing like the pictures and there are certainly some weird smells around that area.
Busy road in front of the hotel, watch out if you’ve booked a lake view that you don’t receive a ‘wall’ view. Definitely not a 4* hotel… bordering on a 2*
The hotel is about 12-15mins walk to the centre of Lovere, which is ok but not worth going out of your way for; there are far prettier lake towns I believe - so do some research before coming this way...

I’d like to inform you that what you said doesn’t match reality, except for the paper glasses, wrapped individually, but what do you know about hygiene standards and HACCP.
Only because you wanted a lake view room without paying extra (like other guests).
We also received your complaint (with a refund request, which was denied).
The way you described both us and the agency says a lot about you.

MISLEADING SUITE, THE PHOTOS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES!! ONLY FRAUD AND NO EXCUSE.
On the assumption that the definition of “Royal” is, and has always been, Royal, Royal, worthy of a King. Our expectations did not live up to this appointment.
Arriving in the parking lot of the Reception, we find ourselves in front of a dark and obscure view and entering the situation is not improved by the cold non-welcome of the two girls present in turn.
We are told that the room was not ready yet, first mistake, we arrived at 13.00, and those who have already booked know that this is the time when check-in begins, without worrying anyway if we needed something, such as luggage service, storage, or something like that (we are talking about a SUITE service).
In the meantime we decide to have lunch at the Restaurant served by the Hotel, which our experience was quite pleasant, I would like to add that personally I already knew this restaurant as I have been there for other occasions, for this reason an extra confidence in meeting our expectations on the overnight stay.
The bill for meals is charged on the room with a discount of 10% on the expense, although, adding the covered to customers already staying in the structure, practically the discount I consider a little 'useless and illusory.
Check-in I would like to call it more of a “self-in” because the two cute girls at the Reception did nothing but request documents and give us elusive information about breakfast and a parking exit code. It was a rainy day, and our first entrance to the room was explained superficially, telling us that we would have to cross the parking lot to reach a second corridor leading to our room. We wonder how it is possible that there was no indoor alternative and only after becoming personally interested, we are informed that another entry is possible. Nobody set out to accompany us, to worry about our luggage, to give us a smile and greater attention. I remember we are still talking about a Suite service.
With the thought that everyone can have a bad day, we still head enthusiastically to our room which leaves something to be desired.... Attached are photos of a larger than normal Standard Room with a small, neglected spa in the center. You can see very well the little maintenance and carelessness of a service that is sold for valuable.
But the surprises don't end there. Tired and in need of rest, we still try to enjoy the spa and when we return to the sleeping area we realize that despite the glass partition designed, a crazy humidity passes that even ruins some of our belongings, a humidity that remains on all the windows and condensing creates even more moisture and mold.
We spent the day trying to enjoy what we sacrificed and decide to ask for help only the following day for the problem that made us sleep badly.
The receptionist that morning was a polite lady, kind and attentive to what we were asking. Worrying about the problem, he reassured us by saying that he would talk to the Director promptly and that he would have their maintainer check the plant. Great, calm, let's give time for a lunch break to resolve the situation.
On our return the icing on the cake. The Director of the structure begins to listen to us, but as soon as he seems unable to resolve the situation he attacks us saying that if it was not to our liking we could have left the structure and that “he would not have given us the money back but Booking”, referring to myself in a rude and arrogant way and repeating several times that the room had recently been restored because they have whitewashed (?). Which means nothing to me because it seems obvious to me that in a room with all that moisture you have to prevent the appearance of mold. In this whole conversation there was never an Apology from the Director, an interest at least in understanding the situation, coming with us to the room, reassuring us that he would do everything possible in any case. I remember that we are still talking about a Suite service, and a well qualified 4* Hotel (in theory)!!
And apart from this experience nothing is up to what they sell.
The room layouts were not enough, some useless and tasteless like an unusable “radio system”, small TV with weak signal, random “furniture”, two identical low-quality and maintenance-free bathrooms, and ironically, mold stains on the ceiling!
A Spa service with separate pool, for a fee and on reservation, where we find ourselves sharing it with other people (what is the point of booking then? It’s low season, try to offer exclusivity) and a “herbal tea service” nothing short of nauseating, the photos speaking for themselves.
Breakfast was ok, classic 4* arrangement, I really enjoyed the fresh juices and their Gluten Free products (I'm not intolerant but it's the first time I notice this focus on celiac disease).
The staff Catering was kind and helpful in particular Mrs. Yadranka present at breakfasts, definitely makes you start the day well.
Despite this favorable point I consider a low standard your structure, not in accordance with the expectations you sell. Because you have shown that it is your only goal, to sell, instead of giving pleasant stay experiences.

Mixed experiences, not something to repeat
Reception was indeed tiny and manned by two people who seemed a bit surprised to see foreigners. Finding our room was a challenge. The hotel is spread over several linked building and the signs are not very clear. Corridors are well kept except for some funky smells including an intense burned rubber in an elevator. When we'd found our room we both pulled out our phones and started looking for alternative hotels. We ended up staying. Because we'd prepaid. (there's a lesson learned!)
Room was very clean and recently modernised (bathroom was 1990s vintage though). We did have lake view. It was behind the derelict building across the road. We also had a good view of the roof of another part of the hotel which showed evidence of a recent chimney fire and roofing tile damage which did cause issues for that part of the hotel during a thunderstorm. There's a balcony with the room, unfortunately smoking is allowed there.
Housekeeping was good. Wifi was speedy.
Downside to the room on the 3rd floor was the drone of a huge airconditioner on the floor below us. Started up and it was like being on a cruise ship about to leave port.
Breakfast was in pinocchio restaurant, which I will review separately, and I found little to complain. Yes it's Italian and they like sweet things for breakfast. But the fruit and the coffee was good as was the service.
There's a spa but between the constant reminders to pre book everything well in advance (I'm on holiday, I like to avoid making plans!) and exploring the lake we didn't get around to it.
There's no bar, lobby, lounge or anything else really
This hotel presents itself as a luxury relaxation destination in a pretty town on the lake. And it's failing there. The whole vibe of the derelict buildings around it and the empty shopping spaces around the hotel grounds is not one of luxury. The road doesn't help.
Would I come back here? No. There's not that much to do in Lovere and I can do without the constant airconditioning drone!
