I was impressed with the hotel. Though I was two minded initially due to its reviews from others, my wife and I had a good stay, all considering. I travel often therefore its important to me that the booked hotel is as expected.
The only one thing I will ask is I was advised that if I stayed at the Marina Antico parking I would get 50 % off parking. I paid from 26 Apr 0154hrsto this morning at approximately 0815 hrs - 56 euros. Is that the correct amount? Again just double checking so am aware, as it seemed a little expensive.

Great hotel, shame the shady figures

Very kind and helpful staff, excellent reception service 24/24 and an agreement with a nearby parking lot. Room and bathroom cleaned and cleaned every day. Our bathroom was not in the room and for my privacy needs it was better this way. Great location a stone's throw from the aquarium and many other attractions. The only flaw was the presence of unrecommendable characters near the hotel, no one bothered us but we did not feel safe enough to go out in the evening (although we have seen many others do so).

Disturbing and unhealthy area, dismal and dirty hotel, smell of pounding mold and always present.

I felt in danger.
The area in which the hotel is located is inhuman, out of bounds.
Prostitutes lurking everywhere, drug dealers offering you the worstoba and even a cute old lady spitting out the window when you get under it.
The strong smell of urine and vomit prevailed over all other smells.
I anticipate that at a certain time, Apple Lane becomes impassable due to the worrying and exhausted people who populate it, broken bottles, screams and even female orgasms. I'm not kidding. I'm kidding.
But enough about the area, let's talk about that run-down place of the hotel.
Really painful. Wooden wardrobe with mold on the interior walls, I had to keep it closed so as not to invade the mediocre room with odor.
Urine-stained beds and bedspreads/sheets blatantly pierced by joints.
Reprehensible was the bedside table, filthy and full of mold with even a post-it with blasphemy written on the inside.
Absurd bathroom, but in the negative sense. The toilet sucked, smelled bad and had several layers of limestone on it. Sink whose drain emanated sewer stench. Bidet absent, fortunately. Gloomy shower, with encrusted shower and drain without cap. Window that gave panorama on the wonderful alley so well known.
Breakfast not included.
I will NEVER go back.

Horrible.

I stayed on 4/5 October 2024 with my partner. Arrived at the hotel we were greeted by the staff, very polite and helpful, but unfortunately arrived in the room we had to escape! Very dirty room with stains of dubious origin, soiled floor, and even an elastic band with hair on the desk. In short, anything but what we expected. Not to mention the presence of prostitutes and dodgy men outside our bedroom window. I strongly advise against it.

Small and perfect location

Simple but clean hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, always present h 24. There is no elevator, but this is the norm in Genoa. Small-time drug dealers and prostitutes but quiet. Convenient location to get around the city from the old port to the center.
