Location was EXCELLENT in the since of being able to easily walk to many attractions and meet-up spots for tours. There was a lot of noise from the street with our particular room, but I feel that comes from being in a busy area.
Very clean, even having to share a bathroom with others.
Check in is a little confusing. Initially, finding it is challenging. A good way to remember is it is across and down from the Korean restaurant.
Breakfast has some frustrations. Lovely pastries and coffee, but the timing during which it is served is not convenient if you have a tour booked at 9. They are almost never actually there at 8, and you can’t just grab and go. Recommend starting breakfast at least at 7 so tours and travelers can partake without stress.

Good but not great
The location is really strategic and convenient.
Friendly and helpful staff, easy check in and check out.
What didn't like · Unfortunately the room overlooked the street, which is noisy until late and early morning.
For this reason, earplugs are offered.
Clean room although I would change some things, for example I would renew the mattress cover very worn and some furniture too dated.

The good:
It’s all about the location. You are in the middle of everything, literally. The room was large enough and the ceilings are really high! Large windows. You feel like you are a part of the history. Tons of dining options near by. If you need to leave your luggage and wonder around the city and then come back and pick it up later - that’s an option. That’s about it.
The bad:
Ok, that’s huge - NOISY! Extremely noisy environment caused by tourists at night. It was that noisy through the night, entire night! So, if you are a light sleeper - pass it. We shut the windows close as well as the storm doors for extra barrier. Didn’t help.
Now, read the description carefully - it says shared bathroom! Yes, you have to share it with the others (I believe there were two of them available). Quite inconvenient if you need to get up in the middle of the night to go pee.
WIFI is a joke! The signal was very weak in our room and almost unusable.

I recently stayed at Il Gattopardo in Florence and had an extremely disappointing experience. Here are the issues we encountered:
1. **Cockroaches**: We found cockroaches in our room, the hallway and the bathroom, which was alarming and unacceptable.
2. **Noise Levels**: The noise levels were intolerable. There was significant noise both from outside and within the hotel, making it impossible to rest.
3. **Mouldy Shower**: The shower was mouldy, which is both unpleasant and a potential health hazard.
4. **Broken Toilet Flush**: The toilet flush was broken, causing us considerable inconvenience throughout our stay.
5. **Broken Window**: A broken window that could not be closed added to the noise problem and compromised our security and comfort.
6. **Unclear Check-in Instructions**: The access and check-in instructions were unclear, leading to unnecessary stress and confusion upon our arrival.
We chose Il Gattopardo expecting a comfortable and pleasant stay based on its reputation. Unfortunately, these issues severely impacted our experience. I hope the management addresses these problems promptly to prevent future guests from facing similar inconveniences.

Never again!
We were looking for One night stays in Florence. Chose this place as the location was perfect just a few minutes away from everything you need to do in Florence! Staff was friendly and helpful. We paid extra cash €11 for a city tax on arrival (a night for 2 people), which was common in Italy. The hall way had a very strong damp and mould SMELL. It was actually smelled through the bedroom. We had to cover the door gap with a towel. Made us couldn’t sleep at all! We couldn’t open the window because of the noise and mosquitoes. No air conditioning but nice enough with a modern ceiling fan but still way too hot in the Summer months.
The bed room and bathroom themselves were clean BUT the shower area and especially a shower HEAD was covered with a thick black mould!! We skipped the breakfast as we wanted to leave. This is a budget B&B and purely based on my experience. In the future I will pay a little more for a nice hotel!
