Fabulous hotel and views but don't come and complain about the aeroplanes!
Fabulous location for plane spotting, the beach and general pottering about.
Bus stop to town is easy, cheap and a short walk to the bus stop from the hotel.
The hotel rooms are a perfect size with good showers and room housekeeping daily. We didn't use the pool but saw it being cleaned every day. Great breakfast options and waiting staff. Reception staff could not have been more helpful in providing extra bits we wanted. Room was ready on arrival even when we arrived earlier. There is a mini market shop nearby and some great restaurants too. This is a gem of a hotel with very attentive, hard working and friendly staff. They all really care about the customer experience.
Absolutely loved this hotel and would definitely come here again. The views and aeroplane activity is what really made it for us as we are big plane enthusiasts:)

Royal Grand Hotel directly at Kanoni lookout with beautiful large pool at the airport runway
We expected more from the Royal Grand Hotel. The location is right at the Kanoni lookout. At the runway of Corfu airport. Nice big pool.
Rooms, especially the bathroom disappointing. The towels grey and one did not smell good. No hair shampoo available. Mirrors in the bathroom pretty old. Socket wobbly and something was torn off in the bathroom on the tile and not renewed. Bathroom door was also strange from the opening and the elevator for a Royal Grand Hotel really small. Two people with suitcases, just like that. Breakfast buffet perfectly sufficient, although always the same but ok. Staff very nice.

I left there pleasantly surprised.
After reading the reviews I was very scared of how my experience at the hotel would be but I must say I left there pleasantly surprised. The hotel in itself is very beautiful with lovely places to take photos and I would consider it very close to the town and other attractions such as beaches. Considering we hired a car, most famous beaches were about 45-1hr15 minutes away by car which was good. And the famous monastery literally five minutes away was a plus.
A beautiful characteristic of the hotel is the balcony overlooking the plane runways which was also nice. In my 4 night stay there, I cannot say that I was awakened deep at night because of the planes as it is usually quiet at night. During the day, you can definitely hear them but as we were out majority of the time we weren't really bothered by it.
The staff were so lovely and helpful as well and you could always ask them questions and advice as they were always open to help. The breakfast staff were also so nice and helpful. The breakfast was good with nothing to special but it definitely helped kickstart the day.
The only downfall is the pool which is very deep with no gradual shallowness, if it weren't for that it would be a 5/5.

Excellent stay brilliant staff clean and friendly atmosphere
This hotel is spotless could not fault it. The reception ladies were brilliant very helpful with providing information and nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely an asset to the hotel. Food was ok we only had breakfast stuck to eggs on toast which was fine and the coffee was pleasant. The pool and sun beds are super comfy and clean. Bus route into Corfu town just round the corner local shop and restaurant/bar a few minutes walk away. Overall pleasant stay would go back.

Short break
Had a really fabulous short 4 night break at this hotel. Staff are lovely and so helpful on reception. Clean and lovely rooms nothing too much trouble. Upgraded as a problem with sink instantly. Good location and lovely area with Corfu town accessible by bus as well every 20 minutes
