A very charming hotel

The hotel is beautiful, both inside and out. The rooms are very comfortable, and the staff is ready to make your stay unforgettable. I'd like to highlight the delicious breakfast. And I'd also like to mention Simon at the front desk, who gave us the warmest welcome; Jahn at the rooftop, who always had a smile for us; and Moncef at the front desk, who made sure to give us the best farewell.

Repeated Failures and Dishonesty – Deeply Disappointed by This Stay

We stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Munich for 5 nights, and it was a deeply disappointing experience from start to finish — especially given the hotel’s reputation and price point.
Before arrival, I specifically requested a very quiet room as I am sleep-sensitive. Upon checking in at 9 PM, I was given a room where the main light behind the bed was not functioning. When I asked about the dimness, the front desk staff member dismissed it by saying this was the “vibe” of the hotel. I’ve stayed here before and knew that was simply not true. When I pointed this out, there was no apology or even acknowledgment that I’d been misled.
While maintenance tried to resolve the lighting issue, we attempted to order room service — only to be told the kitchen was “over capacity” and we’d need to wait over an hour for a sandwich. And the main restaurant was FULL. I was traveling with a child, and with no viable options, I had to go out in the pouring rain at 9.30 PM to find food. This is absolutely not the level of service one should expect from a five-star property.
Despite raising concerns, we had to sleep in the dark room that night — which was also very noisy in the morning, we had requested for a quiet room in our original booking. The next day, they moved us to another room, which was an improvement, but unfortunately the problems didn’t end there.
I sent five pieces of clothing to the laundry with a clear, time-specific agreement to have them returned the next day — my child had no clean clothes. Not only did the clothes not arrive on time, but the staff then claimed they had already been delivered and left in the room — which they clearly had not. This was incredibly frustrating and once again, dishonest.
It was only at the time of checkout, after I became visibly upset and demanded answers, that the clothes were suddenly “found.” It felt like only my persistence forced any resolution.
To summarize: this stay was a string of mishandled issues, broken promises, and at times, outright dishonesty from hotel staff. For a property under the Mandarin Oriental name, this was simply unacceptable. I’ve received more competent and honest service at far more modest hotels. Until this property makes serious improvements in management and service, I would strongly advise others to stay elsewhere.

I mean...

I spent a weekend in this hotel. Excellent my opinion on the structure, disappointing my opinion on the services, both for those offered by the hotel (the spa is a commercial activity outside the hotel, without any physical and organizational connection) and those related to the staff.

Top service with top waiter

The Ginger Lounge was really top and the ambience very noble. The food, drinks and desserts very delicious. Furthermore, the room was very cozy and pleasant. Above all, the waiter Adrijan was very attentive and very polite. A waiter for everyone !! Keep it up
