Location and history...

I stayed one night at Colombi, Apartment Suite 510. Friendly welcome and very quick check in. Suite on the 5th floor very nice, well maintained and clean. Gym, pool, sauna and steam bath available, but manageable. Breakfast extensive and delicious. Staff all friendly and attentive. In the evening in the bar by the open fireplace. Cozy. Cocktails and small snack very delicious. Managing Director Mr. Singer welcomed me. I had previously handed over the current issue of Sage magazine. Amenities of the hotel a little old. But the more than 50 years of history is palpable and visible. Rightly a Leading Hotel of the World. The Colombi certainly always worth a stay.

We celebrated our wedding at the Hotel Colombi and would like to take the opportunity to thank all the staff involved for the beautiful and unforgettable hosting of the celebration.
Of course a unique experience for us and the Colombi with its staff, the service, the friendliness, the stylish ambience and the unique premises has ensured the uniqueness. Thank you so much!

Disappointing cleanliness despite upfront requests because of allergy. A dirty room.

In principle a nice hotel, not cheap, on an excellent location in the city of Freiburg. However, we requested upfront extra attention for the cleaning of the room, because my wife has a dust allergy. The room was really dirty... the management did not even apologize.

Luxury yet coming home

This hotel has been the destination of our travels for over a decade and we still love it. The facilities of the rooms, the breakfast, the spa area, the unbelievably great restaurant and of course the outstanding service all correspond fully to the category of luxury. But the most important: Humanity in service, not this snooty-offbeat but down-to-earth, honest but still at absolute top level. This is the actual class that makes the Colombi unique. That's why it feels like coming home!

Out of the question

Unfortunately, emails are not answered, so there is no review because we were not there at all, although we sent a specific request to the hotel! Unusual for a hotel in this class and actually a cheek!
