completely satisfied

We stayed here for 3 nights and will happily come back on our next visit to Dresden. The connection is perfect: the tram is less than 200m away, but we couldn't hear it in the room. The location is very quiet, the staff are friendly and open-minded. The room was spacious, great and well thought out. We were completely satisfied.

An average experience

I stayed at this hotel recently for two nights as part of a tour with Leger. The hotel is perfectly fine, it kind of fits with the vibe of Dresden - somewhat relaxed and laid back. The hotel has been modernised in some parts but retains a more traditional feel to it - especially as it uses physical keys!
As would be expected in this style of hotel there were no USB charging functionality, but in my room (413) there were two plugs right by the bed which was handy. The bedding is again the more traditional sort than Brits will be used to, but the pillows were nice and firm. The TV in the room worked well with some English news channels available. I was on the top floor on the corner so had to contend with some interesting shaped ceilings - for the most part the space was well utilised, but in order to shower I had to squat the whole time which wasn't pleasant and wouldn't be possible for older people (I'm about average height for reference). The shower did warm quickly though and maintained heat.
The hotel is situated just off of a busy main road but despite this there was little in room noise - the main noise came from noisy guests (and after 10PM!)
The breakfast here was fine, nothing to rave about but also nothing to really criticise either. Staff both in reception and at breakfast weren't overly friendly but neither were they rude.
I'd certainly consider staying at this hotel again (especially as I would love to return to Dresden), but would ask for another room just because of the shower situation - for a couple of nights it is manageable but for longer stays it wouldn't be.

I can’t – there is!

Unlike the advertising slogan (I can’t-don’t-don’t-don’t-don’t-don’t-don’t-don’t-don’t-don’t-don’t-don’t-don’t-don’t-don’t-go to dinner at the hotel and don’t hand over the room key at the reception before a trip. More on that later!
When we arrived on the first day around 3 pm and also the next 3 days we always found a parking space directly in front of the hotel or nearby, the paid hotel parking we did not need. The elevator was broken throughout the stay. Our first room 311 was small, very warm and facing the road junction. A fan should be used as a remedy against the heat. On request we could be offered room 208 with balcony facing the courtyard. At the end of August, the night temperatures with the window open caused a little cooling, the tram could still be heard.
The breakfast is fine, with the tram line 9 you can easily get to the city center from the stop directly in front of the hotel.
When we wanted to eat at the hotel restaurant once in the evening, we were ignored for a long time, despite demand there was not even the menu. We then went to a pizzeria nearby and were served there at a now Guided hour.
After a trip, my wife wanted to pick up the room key at the reception. In front of her was a couple who had a long conversation with the lady at the reception about drinking coffee. When she asked for the key, the woman became patchy, seeing that she was talking.
Saturday evening, a lively, loud celebration of numerous guests of the neighborhood took place in the courtyard until the early morning hours. Despite the closed windows and earplugs, we could hardly sleep. Since we booked the hotel very cheaply the price/performance ratio is sufficient for a satisfactory. The next time we visit Dresden we will not stay here again.

Reasonable budget hotel

The hotel is located on the outskirts of Dresden. The reception staff, room and bar were fine. Had breakfast at the hotel which was ok but limited choice. It's a 30 minute tram ride into the centre of Dresden & the tram stop is 200 metres from the hotel, or it's a 20 minute taxi ride.
