Excellent value

Claire welcomes you to a large beautiful 17th century house, with so many doors that you would want to push them open to discover what is hidden behind! We experienced the Champêtre, the smallest of the rooms, but sufficiently comfortable: good bedding, good shower. The bells of the nearby church go to sleep between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.! Good breakfast with fresh bread, brioche and homemade jams. And above all, Claire is charming and warm. Overall, good experience

pleasant welcome from Claire.
bad year, it rains and it's cold. the temperature was felt in the rooms, but not under the covers.
the bells of the nearby church are stopped at night.
Very pleasant breakfasts.

Very warm welcome, quiet place, pretty house. Claire is very friendly and gives very good advice for visits to the region. Ideal geographical location not too far from the different sites. Very good value for money

Very reasonably priced, warm and welcoming

This is a lovely B&B in Antrain. I have now stayed there 3 times and have had a great experience on each occasion. I would go back there if staying in Antrain again. Claire is a warm, welcoming and helpful host. Breakfasts are generous. (As another reviewer said, this is not a hotel, it is someone's home and so the experience is a very different one from staying in a large hotel.) You can park in the public carpark behind the church. Good wifi.

Pleasant host, cute courtyard, warm brioche, but ....

We stayed overnight at La Maison de Claire and on the positive side it was in a quiet location, the tiny hydrangea surrounded courtyard was cute, Claire was pleasant though seemed a bit hassled, and the meal was quite good. She had warmed the brioche for breakfast, which made them tasty.
Negatively our small bedroom which opened out onto a courtyard was damp and smelled musty. Claire left four ends of loo rolls in a basket on top of the toilet with just a few sheets of paper on each roll. There wasn’t enough for our needs and she hadn’t left any spare rolls. There was a waterproof mattress protector on our bed, so every time one of us moved it sounded like a crisp packet being scrunched.
I found a hair in the sauce in the globe artichoke at the evening meal and at breakfast when I tried to dip in to the small pot of home made yoghurt I assumed it had wax paper on the top to keep it fresh as I struggled to get the spoon in, but there was another hair across the top!
I hate leaving negative reviews, but having just stayed at Aux Agapanthes in Aumagne the contrast was marked.
