Stunningly different
We stayed in the Gardeners Quarters and because of our late arrival Marc skilfully guided us to the door at night by phone. Although the room was small, it had all the facilities needed plus a nice modern bathroom which was much needed after flying all day.
The following morning we discovered the small Juliet Balcony behind the French glass door and this opened out onto the swimming pool which was covered for winter.
As others have described, the fantastic 5 acres of manicured gardens blew us away. We encountered Sarina (the owner) in the gardens and she related the story of the property and how it had been severely flooded recently.
We would like to thank Sarina for her wonderful hospitality and kindness in allowing us to look thru the main mansion and rooms of her house and kitchen. WOW!
This place is simply stunning and a 'must see' in Maitland. We loved every minute of our stay here and wish you all the best Sarina for your lovely chats.
We hope your unfortunate car accident on our departure day has now been resolved.

An exquisite home away from home
An incredible girls trip away in absolute luxury.
The home is incredibly comfortable with plenty of space for our group to sleep in comfort. Plenty of lounge spaces to spend time in throughout the stay.
The backyard is a wonderland of spaces to explore, the highlight being the farm animals - Jumper and Socks are the friendliest Sheep, and Ralphie and Alphie are fuffy Alpacas that love a good back scratch.
The host, Sarina is delightful and cooks an epic dinner to dine in with.

Hidden Gem
What a hidden gem in the heart of Maitland. Beautifully appointed from the moment you step in the door with all the amenities needed to make your stay memorable. Then wander down the path to find yourself in a garden paradise. The perfect getaway for a weekend or a week.

Hidden Gem
The Gardeners quarters is lovely and comfortable and perfect for a couple looking for a little privacy. The grounds are beautiful and lovely to walk around

Such a special place!
This is a beautiful and unique property that made a special family occasion extra special. We rambled through the amazing gardens, enjoyed tea and cake at the garden gazebo, nibbles in the gorgeous front room overlooking the gardens, played the historical piano and chatted in the formal lounge and played cards at the big dining table. Such a delight to enjoy such a historic mansion right in Maitland! Sarina was a lovely, helpful and non-imposing host.
Good idea to bring some earplugs for the bats which were enjoying the garden too but a tad noisy at night from some of the bedrooms.

It is very unfortunate that the bats are loving the gardens as much as you all did!
