Highly Recommended!

The location was perfect, nestled just off South Congress. Easy access to city and Ziker Metropolitan Park. The staff were amazing and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Loved the restaurant, fresh food nice vibe. Totally recommend.

Exceeded expectations.

Wonderful hotel in a great location. Green, peaceful grounds and a very comfortable bed. Surrounded by a fun, walkable neighborhood. I would definitely stay there again if I had the opportunity to do so. Nice outdoor seating areas throughout the grounds.

Great rooms, pool, eats, landscape, and amazing STAFF!

Love this hotel! Second time staying here and will return again, and again. The entire staff is authentically friendly (special shoutout to Chase at the front desk!!), the rooms are minimalist with super cool tile accents and lighting (which could be brighter). Other great features include: personal balcony (!), invigoratingly chilly pool, great restaurant with lots of outdoor seating areas, and easy walk to shops and restaurants. The landscaping with the water feature adds a lovely water sound. Only thing I wish they included is a robe and a little more lighting, but would recommend Hotel Magdalena to anyone visiting Austin!

Noisy and no air conditioning

Architecture is beautiful and the employees are very nice. I would not recommend staying here: street is noisy from trucks, no AC, no tissues. Bathroom door is glass & 2 ft from bed pillows, lamps on the headboard so lights disturbs any sleeper, tv 1/3 covered by curtains in corner & sink is in the middle of the room. Do not stay here, Austin has plenty of other hotels.

We completely understand how important comfort and peace are during a hotel stay, and we regret that the room layout and street noise were a disruption. While our design choices aim to reflect a certain style, we know it’s not going to be for everyone—and that’s okay.
We also wanted to let you know that the AC issue has since been resolved, and we’re working hard to stay ahead of anything that might impact our guests’ comfort moving forward.

Great place

Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. Steve the valet man was very nice and a pleasure to make conversation with! The restaurant was closed due to a private event so we walked the area and visited nearby stores.
