My bday holiday was great. Great hotel well run
From the moment we got to the reception to book in ,I felt like it is a very professionally run hotel. The staff all very efficient and work hard to present the hotel to a high standard. The food was lovely with such loads of choices and the wine was very nice. It was my bday present to go on holiday so I had hoped they would pick this up when we booked in and then on the day just put a little note saying have a nice bday as other hotels have in the past so that’s my only little thing id say as it didn’t happen. Would I return yes I sure would great time away and thanks to the management and all the staff whom work very hard.

Generally a nice hotel, clean and spacious but needs some TLC and attention to detail to make it the 4 stars
Good points -
- Beautiful welcoming reception area.
- Lovely spacious duplex room with 2 bedrooms 1 up 1 down with beautiful sunny balcony with pool and Mountain View.
- All Staff were so helpful and polite
- lots of sunbeds (but it was a quiet time)
- lots of variety of food
- salads amazing, cheese etc fantastic but maybe add some biscuits for cheese
- fish was amazing so tasty
- very clean
- coffee machines fantastic
Things to consider -
- Room signage from reception is awful and in some places non existent. Walked miles and ended up back at reception.
- Too many steps
- Only 2 mugs in a room for 4 people and not enough tea and coffee and no milk AND a tiny bottle of water for 4 people.
- Only 1 set of toilets by the pool and these were for the snack bar too, far too far away and just not suitable or convenient especially if disabled in any way.
- Maybe too much variety of food and a LOT of waste! If you slimmed down the variety a little then maybe it would help the wastage. Also keep it simple for example don’t add garlic to everything (esp at breakfast) let it be on the side to add your own if you want it.
- Hot food not hot at all :((((
- Don’t need to put wine glasses out for dinner in every place (saves staff efficiency and unnecessary washing up) Same with cups at breakfast (let people help themselves instead)
- Too many steps
- Evening entertainment was musical chairs one night ♀️ bit weird.
- Girl singer was very good.
- Evening entertainment area is too brightly lit and a bit claustrophobic, plastic back bench is a no no. And very hot in there too.
- Did I mention too many steps
- Air con in rooms not very good

Great place
Nice hotel great food clean rooms well serviced staff excellent especially animation team who kept the place going. Would have preferrred bigger crowd but that’s no one’s fault would definitely purely come back well done Lorenzo Jennifer and Celine

Had a relaxing week
hotel was empty so was quiet and relaxing, 2 x shuttle busses a day to the beach, or 15 to 20 min walk. I found the bed to be firm but comfortable, shower was good, the room was cleaned daily hotel was clean, all staff were friendly and helpful. Some sunbeds need to be disposed of as tatty and broken, pool is a nice size and temperature, but no lifeguard and the lifebouys are damaged and need replacing. Food was plentiful it improved halfway through the week, pot luck if hot or cold depending on when you eat, salads were good, hash browns were good and the coffee in the machine was the best. Enjoyed the quiz nights and bingo with Lorenzo which was fun, met some lovely people D and T. I wouldn't choose to come back as there is nothing to do near the hotel apart from 15 to 20 min walk to the beach. But ideal if you're happy just to sit around and read a book and seems to be good for families with young children not for teenagers. Overall had a good week and thanks to meeting lovely people

Enjoyable stay in Costa Calma
Nice club hotel on a human scale, very nice in low season.
Spacious room and good bedding. The rooms all have a balcony and have views of the beautiful pool. All spaces are very clean and regularly cleaned.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The buffets are quite good and the hot dishes varied (not enough for starters).
The entertainment team is at the top and adapts to the desires of holidaymakers, whenever possible.
Thank you to Lorenzo and Jennifer, also for the advice of visits.
Shop inside the hotel to avoid!!
Only downside, hotel a little far from the beach but a shuttle provides 2 rotations per day.
If you want to visit the island a little, car hire is essential!

Please note that the hotel offers a free hourly beach shuttle service. The timetable is available from reception. Room rates on 25 and 31 December include a gala dinner. Extra guests will be charged separately. The all-inclusive rate includes buffet breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner. Soft drinks, beer, wine and some local spirits from are free from 11:00 until 23:00 only.
