Super الناس هذا المكان الذي تديره عائلة
وصلت متأخراً بعد الظهر بعد المعدة الحافلة من الأغاني والألحان هذا أواكساكا المدينة. اردت فقط إلى انهيار إلى سرير إضافي. المالك حيوني مع مؤدبا، اعتذاري جداً محمية. كان هناك خليط مع الحجوزات كانت الغرفة لم تكن متوفرة. كما كان عشية رأس السنة الجديدة كان من الصعب العثور محل إقامة بديل. المالك لي. كان فقط لليلة واحدة (كما كان حجزه مسبقا باقى من الإقامة في zipolite في مؤسسة أخرى). أخذت. كيف نوع كان ذلك؟ لقد وجدت قرينته له على ثروة من المعلومات. الانكليزية جيد زميل مروحة البيتلز. إقامتي كانت بالتأكيد معززة والود النظر مضيفيّ. السعر لائق أيضا. لم تكن فاخرة باى، ولكن راقى ذو موقع مثالى على بعد بضعة أيام. هذا المكان يقع في مكان جيد بالقرب من الشاطئ، ولكنه مختبأ مرة أخرى، بعيدًا عن ضجيج الشارع الرئيسي. إذا كنت لا تتطلب مطلة على البحر لم ترغب فى صفقة، بيت الشباب هذا يمكن أن يكون المكان. إنها تحتوى على مطعم صغير على الشاطئ، ولكن المبيت والإفطار غير متضمنة.

Not the place for me
First of all, I want to say that the couple who run Hostal Teresa, who live on-site, are delightful. They were warm, welcoming and even switched me to a better room at the same price as the one I booked and was not satisfied with.
Overall, however, I am surprised by the positive reviews of this hostel. I found it to be run-down and grimy. Built out of concrete blocks, the tiny rooms lack natural light and sort of feel like jail cells. There is a small seating area in the "lobby" to hang out in, but since there aren't any mosquito nets or screens it's not a tempting proposition to sit there and get bit by mosquitos. Even after being moved to a better room because the one I had booked (based on these reviews) was so depressing, I cut my visit short from two planned nights to one and left a day early.
Again, the owners could not be nicer but I think this place could benefit from a deep cleaning and some updated touches such as mosquito netting and a more comfortable common area.

Something special
We've had plenty of intentions of writing reviews for a lot of places from our month in Mexico, but this place actually made us sit down and do it for once. Hostal Teresa is clean, nicely located and couple friendly compared to other places in Zipolite. What makes the difference is the hosts. You are not seen as paying costumers, you are truly guests here. They care about your well being and your future travels. Genuine advice is always nearby and it's not given on commision. We really felt at home.

Home away from home
I found Hostal Teresa to be a wonderful place to stay. The owners live on-site and are attentive to guests' needs but not intrusive. The rooms are cleaned daily, as are the common areas. Small but private and comfortable rooms with their own baths - it's obvious that this place is a labor of love.
There is a central area with couches where guests actually sit and talk, and the feeling is like being in a family atmosphere. Very friendly and amenable. Omar, a somewhat grandfatherly figure, would offer a free cafe, beer, or water, and would sit and chat while you relaxed, always asked if you needed anything, how you were, etc.
Zipolite has a lot of impersonal, loud, and dirty hostels with lots of drinking, seemingly run by teenagers in many cases. It also has many high end, fancy places that charge a lot of money and are impersonal. Hostel Teresa is on the contrary located in a quiet part of the town, and the atmosphere is serene and modest.
I often stay at budget hostels in Mexico, and this was one of the most pleasant of my experiences. Highly recommended!

Run by a lovely couple
I stayed for 2 days, one night during a short trip to Zipolite. Omar & his wife were so lovely and welcoming and completely looked after me during my stay. The accommodation is basic, but it's not dorms!! You get your own room and private bathroom, and it's literally across the road from the quiet section of the beach. Bargain for Zipolite. It is a nudist beach though - which I didn't realise, so don't be shocked by all the nakedness you'll see!
