Terrible is a positive word for this property!
The only silver lining was the 3 boys managing the property. They were ever smiling and very helpful. Don't even venture near this hotel and ask for a refund even if you haven't booked it.

Disappointing and way over priced
Arriving late after some airline delays and desperately needing for a hot shower and sleep. I walked into the room and was shocked.
The bathroom was so bad, I just decided to sleep and deal with it the next day.
To say it wasn’t clean was an understatement with everything up to and including black mould with horrid water stains over walls. The fan had caked black dust and mildew. The toilet seat was loose and almost falling off and hadn’t been cleaned properly.

I was up at 4:30 am and back at 9 pm after the a full day Varanasi tour so in had no time to complain and the reception is not 24 hrs and they did not reply to WhatsApp till the following day.
The advertisement on booking.com had me fooled and I feel scammed. The price for two nights was double what I paid for in an exceptionally better hotel and experience in Jaipur.
I would think twice about this hotel as you certainly will not leave feeling rested. The beds are stone hard.
The TV would not work and was basically redundant.
The hotel did arrange airport transports for me and I was grateful for that.
Being called at 10:30 pm just after falling asleep to be told the taxi was confirmed for midday the next day was a great cherry on top as I didn’t get back to sleep for ages. Woken at 6:15 am again by loud chatting and tea party outside room.
I asked for a receipt for taxi ride as I didn’t trust the hotel anymore, was laughed at.
Just do yourself a favour and avoid this place.

The art hotel Varanasi
The food is good but overpriced . Not an ideal value for money .
The bed mattress is hard , and so are the pillows . Room lighting is dull.
